You will also have to prove to the Court that you are a fit and proper person to hold a Driver’s Licence.
Drink Driving Disqualification If you are convicted of drink driving you will lose your Driver’s Licence unless you make an application for a Restricted Work Licence. You must satisfy certain criteria before you will be eligible to make the application.
Even if you do not wish to apply for a Restricted Work Licence it is important that you seek legal advice and have representation in Court to protect yourself by limiting the amount of the fine and period of disqualification for which you will be liable. Traffic Offences The Queensland Government has increased penalties for many traffic offences, particularly those involving drinking and excessive speed. Anti-hoon legislation has also been introduced which can have a serious impact on your ability to hold a Driver’s Licence. Now, more than ever, it is important to understand your rights when charged with a serious traffic offence. You should not assume that you have been charged correctly or that you are automatically guilty of the offence. You should seek the advice of a solicitor.
